Curtis was born and raised in Omaha, NE and he has dedicated himself to youth development and community service.

In previous roles he served as program coordinator for TeamMates Mentoring of Omaha Public Schools, where he recruited community members to volunteer as mentors. He also served as a re-engagement specialist for D2 Center, where he helped high school students with chronic absenteeism and truancy find a path to graduation. Additionally, Curtis has managed and facilitated after-school programming for elementary and middle school students in North and South Omaha.

As a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Curtis serves as director of the Omaha Kappa League mentoring program. He also coaches baseball with the P.A.C.E program.

Curtis has two Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He also has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Bellevue University. He is currently completing Certification in Fundraising Management at University of Nebraska-Omaha.

He is the father of two sons, Preston and Parker Morgan
